Kihiu International Ministries (KIM) is a Christian non-profit mission agency that seeks to address the holistic needs of the Kenyan people—spiritually, socially, economically, physically, emotionally, etc—through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have become a bridge of hope between our global partners’ and our Kenyan community. Thank you for partnering with us in fulfilling the SHALOM vision, in memory of our son Shalom Kihiu. This is the vision God gave us when Kihiu International Ministries (KIM) was founded in 1999 (the same year that Shalom was born). Each letter represents the KIM mission:

S-

the gospel message of Salvation through Jesus Christ to all the world (John 3:16)

H-

total Health and well-being for all of God’s people (body, mind, and spirit)

A-

the Ability that God provides for his people through the power of the Holy Spirit

L-

the Love of God which covers all sins and brings all of God’s people together

O-

our Obedience to the Great Commission of preaching the gospel to the whole world

M-

the Multiplication of God’s blessing to all the world beginning with our neighborhoods

Past and Present Ministry Experience

The Kihius were youth and young adults’ leaders within their local church in Kenya under Bishop Armstrong Cheggeh (during the late 1980s and early 1990s). They helped to disciple young people within their local church and led in local evangelism initiatives. Patrick was a leader within Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA) - 1997 to 1999. This agency brings together Kenyan and American Christians living within the United States and is involved in Christian ministry/ mission within the Kenyan-American cultural context. While attending Asbury Theological Seminary, the Kihius pastored a rural Kentucky church (Briary Union Church, Eubank, Kentucky) between 1998- 2000. In 1999, they founded and registered their own Christian non-profit agency (Kihiu International Ministries, Inc). Rev. Dr. Kihiu is an ordained minister with The Pentecostal Church of God (USA).
